About The Artist
ARI
Ari is an Austin-based artist and UC Davis alum who harnesses her Jewish, queer, and feminist identities to produce oil paintings that critique sexual politics and systemic oppression. Transitioning from marketing in 2021, her work, showcased at venues like Big Medium's Austin Studio Tour and Art For The People Gallery, confronts power dynamics in sexuality, advocating for autonomy and gender equity.
“My work stems from personal reflection and critiques society, especially in areas of power, gender, and sexuality. I'm deeply committed to feminism and use my art to question gender norms, highlight diverse sexual experiences, and promote fluid identities. My pieces blend humor and insight to challenge societal views, from celebrating human anatomy's diversity to understanding agency. For me, art isn't just expression—it's a tool for change, dialogue, and understanding. I strive for a world where autonomy is respected, every voice is heard and valued, and topics like sexuality are normalized and embraced.”
