I believe murals are more than just art – they're a statement of resistance, a powerful expression of our values and beliefs that bring hope of inclusion and safety to our communities during these tense times.
I am thrilled to share my first mural project on Downtown Austin's Great Outdogs exterior. As a passionate artist, I was honored to have been provided with an 8 x 10-foot space to create an uplifting and dog-themed mural by the pet shop's owner. Amid the pandemic, we both agreed that a message of hope and perseverance was essential for the community.
A mural of a happy, smiling dog symbolizing the power of optimism and resilience was the perfect way to share this message of hope. I’m grateful for the opportunity to create a piece of art that could bring joy and hope to the community during challenging times. This mural can remind us that no matter our obstacles, we can always be optimistic and resilient, just like a good dog.
